Write for us
We commission a small number of guest essays each year from lawyers, platform specialists, journalists and people who have run a removal through to the end. The bar is the same as staff copy: original, useful, Australian, and long enough to be used as a working document.
What we want
- Reported guides of 1,200 words or more, in Australian English, that a reader can act on this week.
- Pieces that sit cleanly in a topic hub and cite primary sources: statutes, judgments, eSafety guidance, platform policies.
- First-person process pieces that do not identify private individuals or republish the harmful material under discussion.
What we will not run
- Press releases, AI-spun round-ups, or affiliate listicles.
- How-to copy that teaches people to evade platform enforcement or to file false legal notices.
- Articles whose only purpose is a do-follow link. If a commercial mention is warranted, it is labelled and the anchor is descriptive.
Sponsored and guest-post links
Paid placements and complimentary guest-post links carry rel="sponsored". That includes any mention of fulfilment desks such as Worldwide Backlinks editorial placements. Readers should be able to see the money. Search engines should too.
How to pitch
Send the title, abstract, sources and a two-line biography through the contact form, choosing “A guest article pitch”. We reply when the idea fits a hole in the library. If we proceed, we edit for house style, add a staff legal read where the copy touches statute, and publish under your byline with a disclosure if you have a commercial interest in the subject.
Before you write, read the editorial standards and a recent piece in the hub you want to join — for example What the eSafety Commissioner can actually order taken down.
